Our Approach
Is it a diagnosis or a discovery?
At Developmental Discoveries, we combine insight and empathy to see the whole person: how they think, learn, socially connect and process their world. We don’t seek to change a person, but better understand who they are and reduce the symptoms they are experiencing.
By translating that understanding into meaningful action, we help families, educators, therapists, and organizations harness strengths while addressing challenges, leading to growth and inclusion.

In my early work with autistic children and their families, I became increasingly aware of how difficult and disorienting the diagnostic process could be. Too often, families described experiences that were impersonal, lacking in guidance, empathy, and support. This realization led me to focus my career on providing a more informed, compassionate, and empowering introduction to neurodevelopmental understanding.
After more than a decade of clinical practice within medical systems, I recognized limitations in how comprehensively and collaboratively I could serve families. In response, I founded Developmental Discoveries in 2022 to create a more humanized, strength-based, and family-centered model of care. Our approach ensures that children feel welcomed and understood, and that caregivers gain meaningful insight into their child’s strengths, neurodevelopment, and opportunities for growth. I am fortunate to work alongside a talented team who shares this mission and brings deep expertise and compassion to every evaluation.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I expanded my work to include virtual workshops and training for parents, educators, therapists, and organizations. This educational outreach has since grown to include diverse professional development offerings and keynote speaking engagements. Across both clinical assessment and professional training, my commitment remains the same: to enhance understanding, reduce stigma, and empower those who support neurodivergent (often misunderstood) individuals.
